Sabet Releases An Open Edition NFT Donating 100% Of Profits To Ukraine

Ali Sabet is dropping an open-edition NFT for the benefit of Ukraine. He is donating 100% of the profits of his “Freedom Flowers 2022 Sabet” art piece. As an Iranian – American born and raised in war, this is a very personal initiative for the top-selling artist. He shared that “he can relate deeply to the pain and suffering that is happening in the country.”

Sabet’s Charity Drop for Ukraine

Freedom Flowers 2022 Sabet is an open edition selling for 0.08 ($234) with no gas fees. The piece features Sabet’s signature contemporary art and character design with eye-catching colors. The female portrait with distorted features has the same vibe as his commercially successful projects: Tokyo Punks, Pixopop and Ugly Kitties.

Sabet will donate the proceeds to a reputable non-profit organization providing relief to the people of Ukraine. In just a few hours, the auction has sold 8 NFTs. Sabet’s official announcement on Twitter is garnering positive messages and support that’s why the charity auction is gaining momentum. With 32 days to go, this will surely be another display of how the NFT community can come together for a good cause.

NFT Community Coming Together for Ukraine

Everyone thought it was just one of the many tech issues plaguing the marketplace after migrating its contract. Apparently, Sabet got the project delisted submitted a DCMA takedown of the project as he feels that one of the CryptoMories is an infringement of his copyright.

The NFT artist received backlash because of the issue, particularly from the CryptoMories community. Fortunately, the two parties have sorted things out. So CryptoMories is trading on OpenSea again. Meanwhile, Sabet has taken down his DMCA claim. The two parties reached a “simple agreement that ensures a thriving space.”
