Giant liability partnership company KPMG Canada officially joined the list of World of Women NFT holders! The Tax, Audit, and Advisory firm confirmed the purchase via Twitter on Monday, thus entering the growing NFT market.
KPMG Canada taps into NFTs with World of Women
On February 28th, KPMG in Canada has officially tapped into NFTs by purchasing a World of Women digital asset. The acquisition marks its debut on the market; nevertheless, KPMG has recently shown interest in the new trend.
For example, the firm recently conducted a Canadian poll on how NFTs influence female artists’ careers. Surprisingly, 53% of Canadians believe that digital assets open a new path for artists to increase their income and exposure. Moreover, 40% of the respondents believe NFT avatars will soon become mainstream, KPMG reveals.
As a result, the company decided to invest 25 ETH in a women-led project to support the female NFT sector. After all, what better project than the acclaimed World of Women?
Supporting women in the NFT space
Nancy Chase, Partner and National Risk Consulting Leader at KPMG, confirms the company’s initiative to support female-led NFT projects such as World of Women:
“By all accounts, women are underrepresented in the world of all things crypto, which makes us proud to make our first NFT acquisition in a collection that supports women,” she said. “We hope that our purchase draws more women into a sector that’s on the cusp of changing how we interact with one another in the future.”
World of Women is undoubtedly among the most successful NFT projects to date. The debut collection, which consists of 10,000 digital assets, has already surpassed 54.5K ETH in trading volume on OpenSea.
This month, WoW also joined forces with Billboard for an exclusive three-NFT drop celebrating successful female musicians.
