Prime Ape Planet NFT collection’s fake marketing strategy leaves many furious
A 3D NFT collection of over 5K NFT holders and the floor price of 0.88 ETH, Prime Ape Planet has made owners furious with this move. Twitter user @kurtisdawe wrote “So horrible. It then takes away validity from our project at the same time. Just so you know, we would never use your name without proper consent. People click on that scam website made to look like the official prime ape planet website and it steals their money.”
The NFT community is one-of-a-kind and collaborative space where like-minded people can learn and share great ideas about the Web3 future. The scammers, on the other hand, are waiting for an opportunity to strike. This Web3 con artist grew his Twitter following by staging ‘fake’ events that promised followers WL spots and giveaways.
A Twitter user, @MichaelKdcl, discovered his Bored Ape was being displayed as a PFP on an account with over 130k followers just a few days ago. @favewyd, the scammer, has over 300,000 followers across all of his social media accounts. They have daily giveaways and NFT drops, enticing a large number of people to join their devious web. To put things in context, the strategy grew their account by 100k in less than 2 weeks.
We actively post about various scams and rug pulls to make our readers aware of what’s happening in the space. For instance, Twitter scammer @champtgraam was impersonating an NFT influencer for a fake charity.
