Doodles NFT Discord Compromised—Team Vows To Reimburse Holders

NFT industry’s beloved collection, Doodles is the latest to fall victim to a Discord hack. Apparently, a “hacked bot” penetrated the project’s Discord server, the team said in a tweet late last night. Hours later, Doodles announced that it has secured the server and it will reimburse all the affected holders.

Doodles Discord hack: What we know so far

“The Official Doodles Discord has been successfully secured,” Doodles tweeted about the hack. “It will take us some time to collect all of the data and complete an analysis of the attack. Community members affected by the attack will be compensated.”

At the time of going to press, Doodles had not revealed more details of the hack. It is yet unclear how many members were affected or what the losses are. However, many Twitter users praised the Doodles team for their quick action. 

Doodles Discord attack is the latest in a string of discord hacks that have rattled the industry. Early this month, Snoop Dogg’s Rap Empire Discord was hacked after a moderator account was compromised. The hacker then posted a “surprise mint” announcement. Basically, they posted a fake mint link using which they could drain users’ ETH or NFTs. The attack came just days after a massive Discord hack where Crypto Chicks, Divine Anarchy, Women of Crypto, Nudie Community, The Shifters, and The Littles were targeted. 

Similarly, late last month, the Deadfellaz Discord server was attacked, leading to several members losing their funds or NFTs. Here too, the victims fell prey to a fake minting scam. A few days before this, Fortune Friends Club’s Discord server too was a target of hackers.
