Who is Glenfiddich?
Glenfiddich means “valley of the deer” in Scottish Gaelic. Founded in Dufftown, Scotland by innovator William Grant they first ran from the stills on Christmas Day, 1887. Initially becoming the first single malt whisky promoted outside of Scotland. Now they are the best-selling and most awarded single malt whisky globally.

Who is BlockBar?
Glenfiddich has teamed up with the world’s first DTC NFT marketplace for wines and spirits, BlockBar. They connect consumers and collectors with the owners of luxury wine and spirits brands, just like Patrons NFT tequila. Providing the opportunity to exchange NFTs for unique products. What does Glenfiddich’s NFT launch include?
On February 1st 200 NFTs will drop from the BlockBar DTC NFT marketplace. Designed by well-known illustrator Rion Wang, they have focused on the brand’s iconic stag. Mixing in Wang’s ability to enrich designs with concepts such as opportunity and endless horizons.
Once you have purchased your Glenfiddich NFT you can unlock other perks from this collection. Exclusive content opens up to the buyer such as a JPEG of the complete artwork from Rion Wang, individual digital illustrations of the icons that make up the overall design and a Golden Stag GIF that can be used to get early access to the next Glenfiddich drop. Furthermore, there have been talks about featuring an extended limited edition, however, we have no more information than that.
There are options for the holder of a Glenfiddich NFT. You may decide to hold on to it happily knowing that you are one of 200 people with this exclusive NFT or you may decide to sell it. One can resell it on BlockBar.com or redeem it for the physical bottle. Another option is also available, in the spirit of gift-giving.
