About Konami
Konami is a Japanese entertainment and video game company that develops, distributes and publishes games. Also, they also produce trading cards and other merchandise.
Some of the company’s most popular games include Metal Gear, Castlevania, Silent Hill, Contra, Frogger, The Simpsons Arcade Game and eFootball (formerly known as Pro Evolution Soccer).
The company was started in 1969 by Kagemasa Kōzuki. Now, the company serves gamers worldwide and has an HQ in Tokyo, Japan. Also, it is still owned by the Kōzuki family.
Konami’s step into NFTs is very forward-thinking, and they’ve followed the steps of other video game companies such as Ubisoft in doing this. As of right now, we don’t know if we’ll see more moves further into the space by Konami, but you can keep up to date with their movements through Twitter. We could see a new collection, or a step into the metaverse, however, we won’t know until something is confirmed.
