Monkey Kingdom gained a new fanatic this week and his name is Steve Aoki who bought his first Monkey Kingdom NFT.
Steve Aoki is an American DJ, producer and record executive. He has linked arms with huge artists such as Backstreet Boys, Rise Against and Fall Out Boy. Known for his notable billboard charts such as Wonderland. In 2013, the album received a nominations for the Best Dance / Electronica music at the Grammy’s. He hasn’t stopped at music. He is the founder of the Steve Aoki Charitable Fund, which raises money for global humanitarian relief organisations.
Aoki has had his eyes on NFTs, much like many well-known people and celebrities. They created 2,222 algorithmically generated cute pixelated monkeys. They Wukong inspired apes live on the Solana blockchain. For people that don’t know, Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King, is a legendary mythical creature capable of extreme mass destruction. Sun Wukong have many supernatural abilities, from immortality to shapeshifting. Each Wukong is unique and comes with many traits and attributes varying in rarity.
The Monkey Kingdom unveiled new characters name, Baepes. The Baepes are a collection of 2,221 female Wukongs. The Baepes apes are coming soon!
In conclusion, no wonder Steve Aoki is interested in buying an ape from the Monkey Kingdom. These unique NFTs are not only artistically interesting but, also deemed to be a good investment. With major celebrities and well-respected people getting involved in NFTs it is hard to see this trend ending.
