With over 200k Twitter followers and 600k discord members, we thought the Invisible Friends NFT Collection couldn’t have more hype… until Fall Out Boy tweeted about the project. Just four words and a mention were necessary to turn the Invisible Friends community into a frenzy. In fact, the tweet had over 1k replies. Will the collection live to the hype?
The Appeal of the Invisible Friends NFT Collection
The Invisible Friends does two things very well: art and community. If you have been in the space for a while, you know that these two greatly influence the volume traded in a collection. Despite the compelling art and active followers, the project doesn’t have a roadmap yet. Nevertheless, it’s one of the most expected drops of February.
The celebrity factor
The NFT space is in its earliest stage and it’s a highly speculative asset. It can be influenced by persons with a high follower count. Influencers pumps happen all the time. In addition, a group as big as the Fall Out Boys could have a significant impact.
Fans disapproval
Even though the NFT community is excited about the Invisible Friends, many fans of the Fall Out Boy are not happy about their support of the project. It’s to be expected, not everyone is going to understand the impact of NFTs at once. Certainly, it just proves how early we are.
