8th Wonders NFT Collection is the Picasso of the Generative Art Era

The 8th Wonders NFT collection gave NFTevening a sneak peek of the artwork before the drop! Inspired by the Wonders of the World, the series drops in four parts. Starting this weekend, you can get your hands on the first wave of these distinctive NFTs from 8th project. Not only that, they come with a ton of benefits too!

About 8th Wonders NFTs

Regarding rarity, there will be only eight completely unique NFTs, or 1:1s. Essentially, these NFTs were designed as a set and inspired by some of the most treasured monuments, buildings, and ruins on the planet. However, there’s more to this drop than old stonework.

The full collection will include a total of 1111 NFTs, with 125 individual traits occuring throughout. Plus, each of the traits are individually hand-crafted by 8th project himself.  Simply put, they are the citizens of the eighth wonder of the world. And by that, they mean the metaverse. Stylistically, there’s a strong nod to Picasso-esque cubism.

For those who make it on to the whitelist, the 8th Wonders NFT drop begins on Saturday 18th December at 3 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).

To begin with, assets will be priced at 0.05 ETH. Then, a public sale will start two days later, at 3pm EST on 20th December. NFTs from 8th Wonders’ later drop will carry a slightly higher price tag of 0.06 ETH. So, you might want to get in early!

Naturally, you’re probably keen to know what you get for your precious Ether.

Firstly, all holders automatically make the whitelist and receive priority access to forthcoming drops in the collection.  Plus, they will also get a chance to access other art projects from the creator himself. Who is 8th Project and what is the idea behind these NFTs?

The 8th Wonders NFT collection is the work of 8th Project. Originating in Lyon, France, but based in Mexico since 2018, he already commands a lot of respect in the NFT scene. These days, his work can be seen everywhere from whiskey bottles to Times Square billboards.

He told NFTevening: “I nourish myself from the art and culture that inspires me, I filter and redistribute them through my imagination and my style”.

Like an increasing number of NFT collections, he also takes social responsibility seriously. In fact, 8th Project committed himself to donating a portion of the 8th Wonders NFT proceeds to help “nurture, encourage, and promote the arts”. Notably, he also promises to try and make art education more accessible to the public.

Of course, this is a hugely important issue. From journalism to graphic design, fine art to sculpting; creative industry courses have become increasingly difficult to reach without privilege.
