As war rages on in Ukraine, the NFT community is doing its best to support Ukrainian artists during this awful time. NFTs are more than just images; it is a vast community. More importantly, it is a family that looks after each other. We have selected some of the finest Ukrainian artists with which you can support and show solidarity.
Now, in these dark times, the NFT community is doing its bit to help in any way it can. Several NFT projects, NFT marketplaces and platforms have shown their unwavering support for Ukraine in the form of fundraising DAO fund allocation. There has also been overwhelming support and spotlighting of Ukrainian artists.
The NFT community steps in to help Ukrainian artists
It seems as though every single person in the wider crypto community is doing what they can to help the people of Ukraine. The creator of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, has spoken out about the invasion, showing his support for Ukraine. He stated, “Reminder: Ethereum is neutral, but I am not.”
Over the last few days, Ukraine has started to accept cryptocurrency for those who want to help. The official Twitter account of Ukraine said they are now accepting cryptocurrency donations. So far, the community has raised over $13 in donations. Now, we are choosing to highlight five Ukrainian artists in the NFT community to show our solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
Lavhanna_art
This Ukrainian artist from Kharkiv highlights women in her fantastic art. She has an impressive collection in a unique portrait style. Currently, Anna has 18 NFTs for sale on Opensea, and you can pick one up for as little as 0.1 ETH.
Irina Chuzh
Irina is a Ukrainian artist from Kyiv. She is the LIZZIE BENNETT NFT collection creator, inspired by Elizabeth Bennett’s character from Pride and Prejudice.
Irina sees this as a glorious example of self-control, feminine dignity, readiness, devotion to family, and loyalty to herself. Furthermore, the collection features 333 great photo art cards of women. Currently, you can pick one of these up for as little as 0.08 ETH on OpenSea.
Vsevolod Vospitannik
This is an artist to watch. At 17 years old, Vsevolod is already making waves in the NFT space. Their first NFT collection, Turkeys Megaverse, is a colourful, generative art project. There are 7777 NFTs in total, and this is just the start for this young Ukrainian artist.
Undoubtedly, we expect to see much more from Vsevold in the future. At just 0.01 ETH, these Turkeys Megaverse NFTs are a steal.
Anastasiia Pertseva
This digital artist, known as Pertseva, has an incredible collection called Puellae. It consists of 100 NFTs representing women from all backgrounds. At the moment, you can pick up one of these NFTs for 0.09 ETH on OpenSea. The artwork is quite distinctive and worth checking out.
Stazquez
This cyber artist from Kyiv is a digital artist crafting a futurist art collection. So far, the collection is 18 pieces, but it is updated by the artist regularly on OpenSea. At 0.02, this project is growing rapidly, and so is its interest.
